FoldingAntennas [DOT] com Part II

At the most recent CTRI meeting, there was strong positive sentiment for the club to purchase this antenna for Field Day.  This was first introduced in my posting in October. Go to the website for a description what looks like a FB FD antenna…and proven in the recent 3C0L/3C1L DX-pedition. Club president Pat (NG1G) asked me to provide details of the order for posting here.

I have been texting Carlos over the last couple of days. He and his wife are doing fine.

The antenna farm was completely destroyed.

All 8 towers and associated antennas are gone.

He will be running “under radio silence” for awhile.

With the present conditions on KP4, ham radio is probably his last concern.

ARRL RTTY ROUNDUP 2017

It was cold in the shack despite the heater going so I operated about 8 hours. I couldn’t tell if conditions were good or bad since my tower was cranked down so had to depend mostly on the verticals. I find this contest tougher on the ears than even CW since the diddles are so monotonously (sp?) the same.

I heard only W1AN and never did work another RI station!
