Good evening all. As this was my FIRST contest that I was able to enter, I must say I had fun, even though it wasn’t booming like I thought it would have been. Bill N1HRA said it was probably due to the band it was on. But still, it was fun. Looking forward to more, and definitely Puerto Rico.

Jay,
Good job! I am sure Bill was beaming with each contact you made. 73, Mike, K1DM
Way to go, Jay! Here are the results from K3IU.
When the contest started on Sat night, there was nothing here except noise on 10 meters. I called CQ for about 10 minutes or so thinking I might snag a couple of locals, but nada. On Sunday morning, I came down tuned around and heard nothing until I got to 28094 where I heard this very loud signal. It was KB1LCQ, and I worked him at 1215Z… first call :-). He was the only signal I heard on the band. My next qso was about an hour later. It was that kind of contest. The propagation gods weren’t very nice to us this weekend. I heard K1SD early on and worked him later in the day. My total “On Time” was a bit less than 4 hours so my average “rate” was about 18/hr.

Not much for propagation, eh? KB1LCQ was 1st Q. Ken K3IU called in later. Only other RI was W1GSH.
