    Not much to report, split my time between this and NAQP RTTY.
    W1AN and I took turns as the “last station on the band” on 1998 kHz.

    The band conditions were only fair on Friday night but poor from here Saturday. Many stateside stations were in the noise, even those within a couple hundred miles. I did find the EU beverage to help. I struggled with many stations and had to give a “try later” to some. I’m thinking about adding short stateside beverages to the west and southwest to help.

    Participation was good this year. During the active periods the band was full end to end every 2.5 KHz or less. It often took a while to find a spot to run but I had some good ones going both nights. Both far ends of the band, I found were good places to park, as you were only QRMed from one side. A strategy learned from Dave W1CTN.

    With only fair conditions Friday night, I managed to work 23 countries. Only a couple of new EU stations were added to the log Saturday. Little was heard across the pond after midnight and activity through the night was slow.

    My goal was 100K points to at least equal my score from 2010. After wasting several hours CQing Sunday during daylight I managed the 100K in the last 30 minutes of the contest. I missed SD, WA, WY, AK and HI and several Provinces.

    Had the company of Dan N6ERD on station 2 running the NAQP RTTY.
