Conditions were pretty poor to start off with but improved by Sunday afternoon. I operated sporadically among other commitments on this Easter weekend. Couldn’t hear alot into JA land,Asia or the Pacific for that matter. The usual strong signals from Hawaii were pretty weak. Western EU was okay but signals from eastern EU and UA land were watery. So overall signals were down.
There are almost an unlimited number of mults in this one and almost 25% of my mults were stateside on 40. I heard Bill W1WBB but no one else but then again I was on and off all weekend.

I didn’t sprend much time on this, although I wish I could have. I worked a friend that I used to work with many years ago. We worked together in CA, but he has since retired and is now in HI. We exchanged good signal reports both ways on Saturday afternoon on 15m. I thought I heard W1XX on 40m Saturday evening, but the signal was really weak so it was probably someone else.

A non-serious all S&P effort on 10-15-20m as time permitted…mainly searched for new and rarer DX prefixes, working unique stations just once.

Comments:
Relaxed S&P effort – almost exclusively hunting unique DX prefixes (outside
NA) for points on upper bands. Decent but not great condx…Big Guns were loud
of course but 2nd and 3rd tier stns not so much. Sunday saw the better
propagation but still no Eu on 10m either day here, though EA8 and CN were
worked.
Thanks to so many for all the cool prefixes around. Just a few of the rare
and/or unusual WPXs worked here include: 3DA0, 4A1, H27, PH600, SH3, TM71, VK8
and ZS5. Nice to snare LU1DMG on IOTA SA-055 as well who was CQ’n in the
contest.
