Hi Gang, I hope all the CTRI members will be active this weekend in the CQWW Phone Contest. The station here will be operating as a multi-2. We should be able to nicely exercise the new 4 element 20M monobander and the recently installed 15M stack. If band conditions are as least as good as during the RTTY contest last month we should be able to put together a decent score. Operators are still needed. Remember the rules allow you to operate at more than one station so you can still put in the hours both at home and away contributing to the club aggregate score. Hope to see you and work you.

G’morning, John:
I can help out during the day. I can get there early in the morning on Sunday and stay until about 3PM. Or… if it better suits your needs, I can get there earl;y on Saturday morning and then leave at about 3PM. No… sorry, but I can’t come both days. 🙁

I will be there Saturday – not sure about Sunday. What time should I show up?

My car will be in the shop all day Friday, so I’m not sure what time I’ll be on the road to head down there. I plan on staying the whole weekend. It doesn’t look like I’ll get down there before Friday like I’d hoped. Too much stuff going on this week.
Mike, I’d say come any time; we should be hot and heavy on the high bands by 0900 local and that should last all day. I would strongly suggest reading the rules at http://www.cqww.com/rules.htm paying particular attention to sections IV (Scoring) and IX (General Rules).
Ken, I would think Sunday would be better, since we might be getting tired by then and would welcome the break.

That’s what I was thinking, too, Pat. Unless I hear otherwise, I’ll plan on getting there by abt 0600 Sunday morning.

Sounds like Saturday would be good for me to show up. Let me know how you think I would best fit in. I can’t be there for the start on Friday, but could show up after say 2200 local. Or I could show up early Saturday morning. Perhaps I could stay until say 9:00 or 10:00 pm on Saturday.
Linda’s doing fine, but had a little issue last evening, so all plans are tentative as always.
Let me know. Mike, K1DM
Thanks for the response guys. To sum things up it looks like Pat and I will hold the fort overnight Friday with Mike and Mike putting time in Saturday. We will take sleep breaks and relieve other team members when needed. Ken will be here Sunday. We could use some overnight help Saturday night.
Looks like the propagation indexes may be pretty good.
Bring snacks. I’ll have drinks and food.

Good luck you guys. I will try to get on some from home but if I tire of fighting the fray with LP Phone may be I’ll drop by!

If 10-m is open tomorrow morning like this morning, the contest will be too much fun for everybody. It was amazing!
See you guys tomorrow morning. Mike, K1DM
Hey gang… I may not be able to get to W1AN tomorrow (Sunday). My GI system has been a mess today and if it is not substantially better tomorrow, I gotta stay home and close to the porcelain throne. Jim KS1J, if you can help out, I’m sure you will do much better than I could do on phone.
On 20, 15, and 10 the phone bands are wall to wall, but I only listened up to 28800 on 10.
