G’morning, gents:
Well, I remembered to post this before the contest ends tonight. I hope there are lots of members on the air in this contest, ‘cuz the conditions have been very good.
Please post your results here by adding a reply/comment to this posting.

Looks like I am the first to post my results. According to the Logger, My BIC time was 19.5 hours. I only put in a couple on Friday evening and I bailed out on Sunday at about 2PM. Of course, time was spent on Sunday morning in the “Snow Relocation” contest. I think the only 2 club members I heard were KI1G and W1CTN. I haven’t got a count, but I worked a LOT of SE and E Asia stations and it was good to hear the JAs on 10, 15 and 20. I actually worked one on 40 as well. It was fun.
Here are my results. A lot better score than last year.

Picked the wrong time to do a low band single band…but I didn’t have much choice. A few days before the contest the rotator motor on the tower and controller would not speak the same language. Several trips outside in the snow and cold did not resolve the problem….been over 6 years since having this problem. Anyway, the 80 meter vertical doesn’t need to turn so that was the choice. First night went pretty well…still caught some sleep…figured we’d do a lot more on the second night. Not to be. The storm made it impossible to hear the EU 100-watters…the EU beverage was S8 static. Worked a few more at SR and Sunday after 5 PM when all was clear….but most EU’ers had QRT’d. But for the short time …it was fun. Still gotta figure out the rotator problem. A BIG congrats to KI1G on his great all-band score. –John

Wow! This has to go down as my best contest performance ever. Peak 60 minute rate of 214/hr and a 120 minute rate of 206/hr. Everywhere I went, a couple of CQ’s and a frenzy of Europeans would be after the RI multiplier. Excellent openings to Asia both Shortpath and Longpath on 10 through 40 meters. The low bands were noisy Saturday night with the snow storm but 20 meters never closed.
First time for me breaking the 5000 QSO barrier. The Germans win the prize with 697 of them in my log.
Heard a few CTRI’ers over the weekend, hope you all had a blast.

OMG, Rick! That is an outstanding score. Congratulations, indeed. Super effort, super score. I stand in awe.

I just checked back through 14 years of logs on my computer and discovered that this is my personal best score in this contest from home. Now I feel even better about it! 🙂
Really extraordinary conditions with extremely strong JAs on 10M. Not a lot of BIC time. Just had no energy after a long busy week. Worked SN0W on ALL bands. The contest is over and he still keeps calling.
Nice to see your score Rick. Come on. You can do better than that. Hi!
Ken, nice going!
John, can I help with the rotator?
