Wow! Ten meters has been wide open for this contest. Even I have put in about 4 hours, all 10 meters, and worked DXCC on that band. If you haven’t participated, then you have really missed out on a great opportunity.
Please post your results here so that I can include them in the CTRI Champions competition spreadsheet and please don’t forget to submit your results at the end of the contest on time. This from the Rules…
- All entries must be sent WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS after the end of the contest: no later than 2359 UTC October 31, 2014 for SSB and 2359 UTC December 5, 2014 for CW. Resubmitting an entry after the deadline will result in it being considered as a late log.

Guess I’ll be the first. I hadn’t planned on participating, but when I heard 10 wide open, I decided to dabble a bit. I made 4 Qs on 40, but am submitting my log as SOSB(A)HP 10 Meters.
Not a full effort at this end due to only having one wing for the next few weeks and the QRN made it tough but the bands were wide open as Ken said. Asia was coming in on all three top bands and this includes China, Thailand, Indonesia. This may be the swan song for 10 meters although this cycle has been tough to figure.

Played some over the weekend as time permitted, not much of a score but had fun anyway. Score was only 25600 mostly on 10 meters

Great to see score posted by Norm NR1H. What if CTRI expanded to say Minnesota: He could get call: N0RM. 40 meter SSB DX Contest is like being in a torture chamber…operating split was the only way to attract callers even though I received many signal compliments. Would have done more but worked outside on antenna repair instead.
HP, LP, QRP ????
Ken, made a mistake put it as high power when I really ran low power. Won’t make that mistake again.

No problemo, Norm. I just need to know so that the handicap calculations are done correctly. For that, I must put a “power” category in for each member’s contest entries.

Exceeded my 25Z/106DXCC count from 2011 CQWWSSB even though condx to Asia not good for me this year; and, this was P/T effort in 2014.

Comments:
Limited time, so entry as SOSB(A) on 10m. Made a few additional Q’s on 20m.
Operated intermittently. Happy to have Mike KB1RFJ in the second chair for a while.
