Guess I’m first to get the paperwork done
Conditions were favorable but with some static crashes and much QSB. Ten still
showing some life. Stayed in run most of the time except to pick up mults on virgin bands. All in all a good time. Heard the KI1G M2 group and K1DM.

Holy Moley!! Didja see the M2 KI1G score on 3830Scores? Great Job Rick, Jim and Charlie. You beat some top flight stations. Nice going John W1AN on a nice single-op score…guess no one showed up for multi. I wanted to stay home and camp out in the woods to work on my Not So Beautiful 80 meter 4-square radiators. Finished vertical #3 today (Monday) and it checked out right on the money. As far as the contest was concerned, I am still wiped out by a local noise source that especially wipes out 40…normally my best band. So I did a little 80 meters single-band while dropping in on 160m from time to time to give the boys that needed it the RI mult. Somehow I gotta solve the noise problem. Next weekend is the CQ 160 SSB Contest which I plan to give a serious effort if the band is anywhere near good. Load up whatever you got and give it a go. It’s a fun contest! 73! — John, W1XX
We did have fun. Rick opened his place up for a multi-single. Rick and Charlie did most of the heavy lifting but I contributed a few runs here and there. Conditions were not so great but Rick managed to work some miracles on 160 and 80. Ten meters was also another challenge.
John if you need help on those antennas just a give a shout.
