Comments: As I posted on 3830, single band is the ticket for old timers like me…and since the low bands are my choice, it becomes a nighttime operation. Have done single-band 40 several times, but my recent noise problems on that band precluded that option. But then I heard that Rick KI1G would do SB40. Great! The RI mult would be safe for the Deserving to work. And work it they did. Great job Rick which so far looks like the top score in that category. Was there any doubt? Worked many EU operating mostly split…but it seemed not as much as one might expect. Fortunately worked VK and T32 but no ZL….even though my buddy ZL2OK called me for a half hour while I was listening EU as reported by email afterwards. Did slip down to 160 a few times on request to give the RI mult to those in need. All in all, was pretty good fun…not hectic paced. Don’t know what happened to the W1DX multi. Are we getting enough club entries in contests lately? 73! — John, W1XX
Nice to see 10M still surprising us! KB1RFJ put his time in chair 2. Thanks for your hard work Mike. Conditions were exceptional for the weekend.
Congratulations goes to fellow CTRI’ers Rick KI1G and John W1XX on your single
band efforts.

Comments:
Limited amount of time this year. Very little late night operating. Heard W1DX and KS1J in a couple of pile-ups. Also heard W1SYE the Newport County Radio Club station giving out the RI mult.
Hope everyone had fun.
