Never really tried this one before but got in and out during the weekend on 6 meters. Worked K3IU, W1AN and W1DX. Seemed more guys were on CW than phone. A real learning experience for me on 6 meter propagation, but there seemed to be good conditions on both days.

Comments:
Good 6 meter condx…big Maritime Canada opening Saturday to GN field…some EU Sunday to G, EA..not widespread…most of Sunday opening to midwest and south…worked a few DN and DM fields. Mostly called CQ 200 and above plus a fair amount of CW, an indication of good activity. 2 meters almost non-existent. Didn’t put in a full effort…took many long breaks. Worked W1AN, KS1J, KA1VMG, K3IU, W1WBB, W1YRC…maybe more. Could be a harbinger of good times on 6 for Field Day. — John, W1XX
This one ended up being mostly a 6M contest. Nice to have the openings late Saturday evening and a good part of the day Sunday. Not a lot going on elsewhere. There was little success on 23cm. What should have been easy Qs near a hundred miles ended up as a no copy from both ends. I’m not sure it was conditions or something on top needing attention. The little DX worked on 6M included CT, EA6, EA8, G, HH, KP2, KP4. Of course on the morning after the contest there was a huge EU opening. Worked K3IU, KA1RI, W1XX, KS1J, W1WBB.
