Best of luck on the multi. I will be SOLP Assisted for some of the contest. If it ever stops raining I will have to get outside a bit.

I played a little bit from home on Sat and then went to W1AN for a few hours on Sunday. Saturday morning had good conditions but on Sunday conditions were terrible. Thanks to John and Nancy for your normal outstanding hospitality!
Here is my score summary from home…
Score : 96,288
Operated about 20 hours. Saturday was fun but had to stop to cut the grass and do some errands. Got back on Sunday but we got hit with high K levels so the antenna went towards the states to work 1 pointers most of the day. Path to EU recovered somewhat in the afternoon but for my LP station there were still a lot of serial number repeats to be made. Lots of QSB on both days. I worked KI1G, KE1J, KE1S.
20M was the big surprise Friday at start. There were plenty of stations from across the pond,
north, south, east and west past midnite. (We didn’t operate thru the wee hours but 3830 reports show 20 was open into the next morning.) Very strange considering we’re near the bottom of the solar cycle. We paid dearly for those Friday conditions after noon on Saturday. The contest turned a Qs per CQ into a CQs per Q event. Many an unanswered call and countless repeats, and one way propagation. All bands were nearly dead until Sunday afternoon when life slowly returned, but no where close to Fridays level. We found out later about the CME.
Our score was half of last years, but we enjoyed the struggle just the same. Worked KI1G, KE1J, KS1J.
A special thanks to Mike K1DM for being a one man ground crew the prior Wednesday when I needed to re-secure the XM240 to the mast on the 90 foot tower. The clamp is now drilled and pinned.
