Fun contest. Very little on 10/15M but plenty of activity to enjoy. Good to see NG1-Mike Mike active! Anyone use FT8?
Need to study the “two break rule” which limits off time to two minimum 30 minute periods. Is it too restrictive? I can see where this would penalize those who can’t dedicate full weekends. Maybe topic for discussion at next meeting.

Comments:
I would like to thank John K1JSM for helping me set up my FLEX for RTTY – first time for this contest at my QTH.
I “saw” John W1AN & Ken K3IU in pile-ups, but never had the opportunity to get a Q. Called John a few times on 20M, but I’m guessing his massive high power antenna was pointed elsewhere.
Family & technical issues – as well as watching an NFL game – cut into my operating time, but the 7 hours in the chair just flew by! Fun Contest! I will be ready for 24 next year!

It’s a fun contest! Work anybody, anywhere. I worked W1AN and heard K1JSM John and NG1Mike in the piles. W1AN my only CT mult. Strangely, did not work a RI mult. Thought I had an amp or ant problem when the amp would just suddenly unkey at random. After a while I discovered that my left arm (tuning hand) was sort of draped across the upper left corner of the keyboard and was randomly pressing the ESC key which, of course, unkeyed not only the K3 but also the amp. Glad it was nothing more than poor operating technique :-).
Nice scores! I made a handful on qrp FT4 in a busy weekend. I really wanted to do rtty too but made the mistake of upgrading the Mac OS before hand, of course then mysteriously my good working setup no longer did. — Dave K1SX
