K1SX SO LP
34 qso’s, 391 raw points, 2 hours or so
Genesis G11 sdr, 100w sspa brick, 65/65′ inverted L with 16 radials

I have AB1BX and AI1TT in the log, and see KA1J posted–anyone else get on?
With my limited experience, I thought conditions were pretty good, and now I see from the comments on 3830 they might have been historically good! Unfortuately I could only put in small blocks of time, so i decided to just chase dx, and there was a lot to chase, many workable on one or two calls. It really was amazing. But it also seems it was just EU and AF here, not Pacific in the morning. RW7K my best, in itself a first for me. — Dave K1SX

  1. Only got on briefly at SR on Sunday to work a half dozen Qs: KH7X and some west coast W6/W7’s to see if things still worked. Had other fish to fry. Glad some of you got on and had fun. HNY!!!

  2. Great contest — just *one* night, NO real big Spot pileups (“assisted” Single Ops are check logs), lots of activity and good participation in Eu, interesting scoring format … and immediate log processing by sponsor with lots of cool data (max point QSO, longest distance contact, # of busts/QRP/LP stations worked etc), plus many sponsored plaques. Remains a favorite of mine!

Quiet band, low K-index of 0/1 and very good Eu propagation this year, some are saying historic for the SP TBDC. [Superstations W2GD in SNJ had close to 300 Eu logged while K1LZ as remote from Maine had 305 Eu!]. Was alot of fun!!

    277 raw QSOs (274 actual, 3 busts) / 2,011 raw pts (*2,389 pts* currently per sponsor) / 58 DX (53 Eu) incl rare D4Z / longest DX – RW7K @ 8021 km / 10 hours op time [currently top 20 for NA]

For comparison, John W1AN and I earned Top Score as Multi-Op LOW POWER from his W1DX station back in 2016 with 2652 pts and 324 QSOs (42 Eu) operating almost the full 14 hours.
