CTRI is alive and well ! After months of lock-down, quarantine, masks, social distancing, and no organized club activity, 10 CTRI members turned out for the informal “CTRI Ragchew” hosted by W1XX on ZOOM. Checking in were: K1JSM, AB1BX, KE1J, K1PAD, K1HSY, NG1M, NR1H, KS1J (audio only), K1SX (SO2Z), and W1XX (host).
It was a free-for-all open forum to share recent radio activity.
CTRI folks have clearly rejected radio silence during these trying times. Rather beaucoup QRV-ness has prevailed: several minor contests, Field Day from home, exploring satellites, honing CW skills, remodeling shacks, park and island activations, on-and-on. We are an active bunch. Plus those of us with limited ZOOM experience (like me) got to try some of the finer nuances of ZOOM TNX to KE1J.
What does this experience bode for the future? The overwhelming response was to do it again soon. Stand by on the channel. 73.
