Big contest – AND I got 59 more Qs than last year! With a higher rate than last year – which is always a good thing!
But hard slog without an amplifier. Where were all the CTRI CW Wizards!?
Nice going Mike ! I did think about getting on but a combination of family guests over the weekend (Carolyn’s
birthday) and continuing to monitor 6 meters for EU DX on CW/SSB kept me away. On Thursday the 8th I
had a fantastic pileup on both CW and SSB 6 meters working a hundred Qs to EU in a bit over an hour. Friday a few more followed by “hints” of DX prop over the weekend but no further EU E-skip opening. The IARU is a nice contest so I’m glad you had fun Mike.
CQ VHF Contest this coming weekend so we’ll see if old school CW/SSB can still compete with FT8.
