Meeting Notice, May 19, 2012

It’s that time again.

If you are familiar with the interactive meeting notice skip down to “Topics“. This is an interactive meeting notice. What, you may ask, is an interactive meeting notice? As the phrase suggests, it is a meeting notice which requires interaction by the readers. For example: we need to have topics for presentation at the meeting; we need presenters; we need volunteers to provide lunch; we need to know who is coming to the meeting so the quantity of lunch portions may be determined, and so on. This post will be updated as interactions (comments) are appended.

  1. Ed,

Thanks for posting this. Also, thanks for offering to host this meeting. Is there anything you want me to bring?
We might add to the agenda getting 1X1 calls into LoTW. Is there anything we need the internet for? I will ask John to bring the projector. Do you need any antenna work done while we are there?

    73 for now, Mike, K1DM

  2. I also shall attend.

Mike, I’ll create an addendum to my previous LoTW instructions for 1×1 call signs that I’ll hand out. That way we won’t have to spend much time on it and can concentrate on more pressing matters.

    73,
    Pat, NG1G

  3. Thanks for offering Mike but Naomi keeps a kosher kitchen so anything that comes in must be marked kosher. I don’t know whether we will need the Internet but it is available. As for antenna work I’ll have to ruminate on that.

  4. Pat, thanks for the handout. You could post it here, and then some us could test it for you!

Ed, – Roger on the food, etc. I forgot! Hopefully all will go smoothly, and we can get lots accomplished.

73, Mike, K1DM – the proud owner/builder of Elecraft K3, serial number 6434!:) And, it plays with one of John’s computers sending out dittles! Tonight I am a happy camper!

  5. Outstanding, Ed. Thank you very much. I am planning to attend.
    73, Ken K3IU

  6. Ed et al: Sorry I will NOT be able to make the meeting….my son’s 50th birthday party in Connecticut. That makes me older than dirt. Have a great time everyone. On the 1 x 1 calls I’ve received about 2 dozen QSL cards DIRECTLY. When I initially tried to update the W1M QRZ listing…I found it was still controlled by the W1 Marconi gang. After the contest I found that I could edit it (don’t know how that happened)and I indicated to QSL via NG1G…plus a few others that I told on the air. I can either get the QSL requests to Pat…or after the cards are printed, get some, and QSL directly. Re NEQP, so far according to 3830, W1M (M/S with ops W1XX & K1XA) has the top score, as I don’t think K1TTT who always wins was on. Adios! 73!!

    — John W1XX (W1M now expired)

  7. John,

We’ll miss you at the meeting but of course family is more important. You can hold onto the cards and once we get the QSL cards printed I’ll give you however many you need. We’ll get it all figured out soon enough.

    73,
    Pat, NG1G
