1×1 Call Sign Cabrillo Files

Gents,

Please submit to me the Cabrillo file(s) from your operations under your 1×1 call signs as soon as possible. Importing the data into a spreadsheet is slightly labor-intensive, and I’d like to be able to have it all done before the 1st of June.

If recent QSL card deliveries are any indication, we might have well over 100 requests in total. As of today I have 28 requests, including one certificate request (based on only one QSO!), and I know other members are receiving cards directly.

If anyone has questions on what exactly I need, or how to export the data, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help. Same goes for signing/uploading logs to LoTW. As soon as I can rectify my inability to include media files in my posts, I’ll upload the instructions for everyone to use. That should happen Saturday after the meeting.

Thanks for your cooperation.

  1. I also have several requests for QSLs. Currently I am manually adding the QSOs outside of the NEQP to my cabrillo file for submitting to LOTW. There are only a few so it was easy. To sign the cabrillo file with TQSL I had to change the contest name to NEQP because TQSL would not recognize the contest name NEWE-QSO-PARTY from N1MM.

I checked the received logs list on the NEQP site today and found that K1B, K1J, K1K, K1T, K1U, K1W, N1Q and W1M are there. That’s only 8. If you haven’t emailed your log in yet it needs to go to logs@nullneqp.org. Put you 1X1 call in the subject line and attach your cabrillo file after the details have been added along with the club name.

I will have a sample QSL card with me at the meeting for comments. If we have enough requests it may be time to create some generic CTRI cards for club members. We can discuss at the meeting.

  2. Pat: I’m not sure this is where you want the Cabrillo files for 1×1 operations, but will attach them to this message. I have downloaded all W1B contacts on LOTW and also to NEQP. I have three files:
NEQP, VOLTA RTTY CONTEST. and outside of contest contacts, converted from ADI to Cabrillo. Hope these
can be decoded !! Using the 1×1 callsign provided a number of rather interesting situations.

  3. I didn’t obviously run W1J during NEQP (I was at K1T with John and didn’t request W1J until the 7th) but have submitted my W1J log to Paul with my 388 lonely contacts! Hopefully a number of people found me to add one to their list!

P.S. Remind me what is the ADDRESS of Crandall House? My GPS doesn’t know, nor does google…

  4. Dan,

The meeting Saturday is at W1PN’s house in Johnston. The address is OK at qrz.com

  6. Looks like a Log Periodic in the back yard from google maps 🙂 Shouldn’t have a problem finding the right house!

  7. Found the time 1100 in the post – so it will be an early start for me on the road!

Here is my header from Cabrillo File, generated by N1MM, which was accepted without problem…

  9. Oops… I see you were talking about sending it to LotW and not to NEQP site. Mine went to LotW with no problems, but I sent it as an ADI file.

  10. As of today, May 28th, I have received all but one of the 1×1 logs (by my count), but I’m not really sure who else may have operated. If you operated using your 1×1 call sign, *please* send me your cabrillo file as soon as possible so I can finish the database.

Thanks to those who already sent me their logs!
