I highly encourage folks planning on doing any operating in this weekend’s CQWW DX SSB to check out the newly and completely revamped CQWW DX Contest website. With a number of rule changes and clarifications this year it is worth a look.

A brief look at the webinar showed that expected band conditions this weeekend should remain quite good. The 48-hour event starts Friday eve at 0000Z (8 pm local) and ends Sunday at 2359Z.
Most important change is a 5-day log submission deadline (with new recommended log check/submission area direct at website)…log due NLT the following Friday by 2359Z.

I plan on putting some time in on this one. The stacked 5 element monobanders have been added to the arsenal so it will be interesting to see how they perform. And with the excellent conditions we should see a lot of activity with endless Qs. Will run a single station and will make it available for CTRI members. A mult station will be ready too. I also plan to have some fun this weekend. I will try SOAB(A) low power again. Not sure on the best way to configure my spotting tools though. I use the VE7CC site but may also try opening a window to the RBN and see how my signals are getting through!
