After postponing it to the last, I am finally upgrading to Windows 7. My trusty turtle beach is no longer so I wonder what the RTTY gang uses for sound cards and if there are any recommendations.

G’morning, Jim:
For RTTY I Tx using FSK, so no sound card involvement. On my main machine I use for Rx the built-in sound card on the motherboard with no apparent problems. It is listed as a “High Definition Audio Device.” The RTTY Meister II thin client also uses a motherboard sound card which is listed as “Realtek High Definition Audio.” We used 3 or 4 of them very successfully at NP3U.
I have one old laptop that still, uses XP because it really doesn’t like Win7. Yeah… it’s an old one. I have Win7 installed on all other computers and after getting acquainted with it, I think I’ll stay with it.
Good luck with the transition…
