I received in today’s mail a new item of wall paper from the league saying I had won First Place Rhode Island Section, Single op, High Power, for 50 MHz band in the 2015 January ARRL VHF Contest.
My score was 91.
As my father used to say, ” Nothing ventured, nothing lost.” Maybe it was “nothing gained.” 🙂

Ken,
Were you in the “single op” category, i.e. non-assisted?
Just curious who your competition might be. K1DM
