A low key leisurely operation…slept well both nights…got up early for the Pacific & Asia openings. The northers EU/Siberia openings at SR both mornings were interesting. Best coup was snagging XX9TXN LP from a pileup of big guns. Had some fun running EU (and VK6) with slow CW on 7092.5 both afternoons at SS. Congrats to Rick KI1G for a great 40M SB(A) score…HE’s BACK!! Heard him often. Also big effort from Lars multi at K2LE in VT. Let’s keep up with the posting of club scores on this website. Been a busy contest month(s)…It ain’t over yet with ARRL 160 next weekend to be followed by ARRL 10 meters. Get on the air. 73! — John, W1XX
Put in a little fun time after a long work week. Originally considered a single band effort, but discarded the idea of staying up thru the nite on any of the the lower bands. So went AB. Nice to see the Really BIG scores posted on 3830. Wow!
Nice to see Rick back!

I was able to put in some time on Friday evening. Single-Op Single-Band high power assisted. Worked 80-m 60 QSOs 10 Zones 34 countries. 7040 claimed points. W1AN was in pile-ups with me. It would have been interesting to compare signal strengths – I’d bet he won (more power and better antenna)! I will have to check and see how slow my rate was. Had a great Thanksgiving weekend – the entire family was here – (first time since Linda passed). Way too much energy expended keeping the grandkids out of trouble!
