I put in a little over 5 hours on Sunday. I heard and worked several of the members. With the exception of about 4 Qs, I was running the whole time. This is a fun contest from here because everybody else wants to work you and you just need to invite them in. 🙂

Looks like we had a pretty good CTRI showing. Good going CTRI in our top club operating event of the year. Last year my 40 meter Yagi was lying on the ground undergoing repair from storm damage. Glad this year it was up and running which helped the Q count immensely. Teamed up again with ole friend Bob, K1XA, who did much of the operating. Hey, I see the NG1Mike/basement station was launched! Great news! I bet we all had fun!! — John, W1XX
WB2VVV was QRV from Foster (PRO RI) for a couple of hundred QSOs, but have not pulled the log out of my ancient logging laptop yet. My 40m Rotary Dipole at 70′ enjoyed Italian, German, UK, and Spanish stations calling over my little stateside pileup. Unfortunately I heard no activity whatsoever on 15/10m. Operated S&P on 20/40/80m with one calling session on each band managing a small pileup. The temperature of my post and beam shack proved hard to regulate as it was damp and raw outside, and I needed to run the little wood-stove and it was overheating the shack no matter how I tried to damp it – the amplifier heat probably didn’t help…

My amp has degraded to under 50 watts but I’m still sure that it would have been very frustrating to run QRP in these conditions. I suppose I could have got a KXPA100 or Hardrock, but for about a $50 investment I get a whole education in SSPA’s from this thing :). I got in a few nice runs, which as Ken notes is the fun of this one, along with a bunch of 7QP’ers. Several Eu stns called in the last hour of the contest. Wkd AB1BX and WA1BXY but W1XX couldn’t hear me on backscatter–in fact hardly anyone could. Tiny contribution to the club total, but far more than I ever scored in NEQP. — Dave K1SX

Had a lot of fun but only operated on Sunday which is typically the doldrums. Heard and worked W1XX, AB1BX,K3IU, NC1CC and a bunch of others. Lots of RI on (it seemed). Did not even try for ARI or 7QP Q’s. (FWIW, maybe one of these days the sponsors for New Eng QP will align the countyname-state format with others)
