It’s that time again. If you are familiar with the interactive meeting notice skip down to “Topics“. This is an interactive meeting notice. What, you may ask, is an interactive meeting notice? As the phrase suggests, it is a meeting notice which requires interaction by the readers. For example: we need to have topics for presentation at the meeting; we need presenters; we need volunteers to provide lunch; we need to know who is coming to the meeting so the quantity of lunch portions may be determined, and so on. This post will be updated as interactions (comments) are appended.

  1. Members;
We will be discussing the W1AW/1 event weeks that club members are responsible for (CT & RI). We need operators during the entire week for both states. Imagine the entire world calling you at the same time! That’s what the pile-ups are predicted. We’d like to man as many modes and bands as we can for as much time as possible! This should be a good week to practice managing pile-ups, and loads of fun too!

I plan on attending the meeting. We’ll let you know where in the next couple days!

    73, Mike, K1DM

  2. I will attend and will stop by DD to get the coffee & doughnuts. Tis a new year so I will not bring any healthy…

When are the W1AW/1 event weeks that we the Club are responsible for? Are CT & RI on different weeks?

    73, Mike
    KB1RFJ

  3. Count me in.

Ed… you might fix the “Location: TBA” at the top of the posting.

    73, Ken K3IU

  4. For the W1AW/??? Schedule, go to the ARRL web site and find the Centennial QSP party, then look for W1AW portable operations. There is a spread sheet that gives each week of 2014 and which state will be active each week. We’re on for 30-April as W1AW/CT and then the two RI weeks. W1XX is responsible for RI. K1DM and W1AN for CT. The second CT week is being handled by the Barnstormers and KB1H.

    The pile-ups are VERY large.

We’ll be discussing this at the meeting. 73, Mike, K1DM

  5. Perhaps as another item on the agenda we could discuss the upcoming holiday luncheon in February. Don’t know if Chuck or someone else is handling that.

It sure would be great if we could get a few more members to show up Saturday. This is an excellent opportunity to see the pinnacle of SDR equipment (until the next model!) in operation. I was *very* impressed by the 5000, and my understanding is that the 6500 is a sight – and sound – to behold. The weather will be warm, if a bit rainy, but what could be better than spending a rainy January morning with fellow radioamateurs and club members?

    73,
    Pat, NG1G

  6. Sorry. Couldn’t make it. I am committed to a State Disaster Recovery Test. It should be over by early afternoon but I needed to be on the phone most of the morning

  7. I am sorry I had to leave after lunch – I was looking forward to seeing the FLEX presentation. Is there any why it could be posted?

    Thanks, Mike
