The Makrothen RTTY Contest

This isn’t one of our Club Competition contests, but I recall it is a fun contest. BIG scores available and if memory serves me correctly quite a bit of activity. Check it out at

For some reason, I can’t make the link to the website work by clicking on it. Just copy/paste the URL to your browser and it does work. At least it works here.  🙂

  1. Yes. It calculates and displays the points in the log window for each QSO in both Classic and Logger+.

  2. This is a really fun test. True DX. It calculates the distance between stations. Good participation too.

  3. There is a Club Category in this contest as well. Why don’t we see how many club members we can get into the fray, and submitting logs! High scores would not be the goal, just number of scores submitted! That should make for an interesting contest for us. The three separate time slots make it convenient for members to pick slot/slots that match their weekend!

    What Say, gang???

  4. Ken,
Thanks for the input. I have it loaded up, and will work on the function keys and the pop-then- plus ESM. One of these days, I will get it all together. I still haven’t solved the WARC band RTTY issue except on 30-m, and I don’t know how I got that one to work. I suspect it’s in the K3 side of things though.

(Tomorrow and Friday are medical appointments – plus this is homecoming at CGA, as you know)

I love this contest. Other commitments limited my participation.

  6. James… thanks for reminding me to submit my score 🙂 Minimal effort here with a little less than 2 hours BIC time.
