Meeting Notice — September 19, 2015

It’s that time again. If you are familiar with the interactive meeting notice skip down to “Topics“. This is an interactive meeting notice. What, you may ask, is an interactive meeting notice? As the phrase suggests, it is a meeting notice which requires interaction by the readers. For example: we need to have topics for presentation at the meeting; we need presenters; we need volunteers to provide lunch; we need to know who is coming to the meeting so the quantity of lunch portions may be determined, and so on. This post will be updated as interactions (comments) are appended.

  1. If you have a portable computer ( laptop, notebook, smartphone, etc), you should bring it to the meeting with you.

  2. I have a laptop, tablet, and smart phone that I will bring. Why should we bring these items? Are we going to be setting them up for our web site’s new features?

  3. To save people hauling all of their computing devices needlessly, you should bring a laptop or notebook computer if you have one. If not then bring a tablet computer if you have one, if not then a smartphone if you have one. Otherwise you will have to look over someone’s shoulder. There will also be a detailed handout so you can duplicate what you will see at the meeting sometime later.

  4. Gents;
    This meeting will test our ability to stay on-task. Given that we have a work party scheduled “following the meeting” it is my goal to see if we can get in and out.

    However, the most important part of the meeting will be the presentation of all the work that has taken place on “Communications.” I am sure you will all be impressed with what Ed, Ken, Pat, and John (AN) have been able to stitch together. It should be an interesting presentation for everyone.

    Oh yes, we also must have elections. Please see my post (coming in the next few minutes) concerning a proposed slate of officers for the coming year.

    Mike, K1DM
