Conditions were rough with low noise. Ran the wire antenna with the FT-817. Ran it for about 4 hours on and off. Looking forward to the tower and beam going up in the spring!!

Every so often I checked it and seemed to keep finding a few more, even in the final 10 minutes. LW1EUD and PT3T on Sun. afternoon saved me from being shut out on dx. Otherwise it was like 6 meters. But maybe better than we could expect. Afterwards I realized it’s going to be more fun to see the band come back than it’s been to watch the decline–maybe a Moxon next time? — Antennas were my 66′ multiband doublet at 50′ and a rotatable dipole at 20′.
Nice score Bob–it’s tough with just a wire, I didn’t get much local stuff beyond SE Mass-RI.
