Club: CTRI Contest Group

    This contest is a favorite of CTRI. We had a somewhat casual operation with many breaks. I found myself fairly energetic since I took it easy several days prior to the contest and decided again that working through the night was not going to happen. Nice to have friends and fellow CTRI Contest Group members Mike KB1RFJ, Ken K3IU, Mike K1DM in the second chair much of the time. A full 48 hour operation would have yielded much higher results. If you recall we did 7.8M+ here as NG1G in 2011.

    Conditions were down. Friday was disappointing with a slow pace at the start. It was hopefully not an indicator of the full weekend. A few short bursts of 150+/hr occurred to keep the interest. Seemed very slow the rest. On the brighter side, 10M had some activity, there were no breakdowns, no computer glitches. I guess Murphy was busy elsewhere freezing up water pipes and car batteries with the -12F conditions.
