Free Grounding Braid

I have 6 rolls of braid, from 30 to 40 foot lengths, free to a good home! Anyone need to make grounding straps, jumpers, bond your hood, trunk lid, or exhaust system to the frame of your vehicle, etc? How about new straps for your shack or tower legs? I can bring it to one of the next meetings for pickup.

Call or text me at 401-369-1445 if you’re interested.

KB1LN – NO Change Of Address Yet

I told someone in this group, but I cannot remember who that was,  that I was making a move from my current QTH in Warwick to a new one in Cranston. That move will not take place at this time.

My mailing address remains at 40 Quail Ridge Lane Warwick RI 02886-4262, and home phone remains at 401-825-7122, for the records.

Sorry for any confusion!

Free 35-Inch Color TV

I meant to mention this while at the meeting today…

I have a 35-inch Panasonic TV (not a flat-screen) that can be anyone’s property who needs it.

I no longer have a use for it and I may be moving soon, so I won’t have room to take it with me.

It works perfectly, has a great picture (In fact, I think it does Picture-in-Picture) and comes with the remote control.

All you have to do is claim it and come pick it up! Such a great price!

NE QSO Party Birthday

Not only do we get to celebrate the CTRI Contest Group’s 20th anniversary of ARRL affiliation, but this year’s NE QSO Party is 10 years old, and CTRI helped to get it all started! Kudos to all those original members of the group, and Good Luck to everyone this weekend!

Dayton HamVention

I hope I’m sending this post to the right place. Somehow the site seems to change every time I get on it, but I’ll give it the good ol’ college try.

A while back I thought some of the CTRI members mentioned getting together for a trip to Dayton this year. I need to visit my parents in Cincinnati and thought the HamVention weekend would be good place to start my visit. The HamVention is May 18-20, and I found flights into Dayton for $330 (round-trip of course). Some members in the past rented a van and drove down there. My plan is to fly into Dayton Friday night, hopefully meet up with CTRI members someplace, possibly the annual HamVention Pizza Party for contesters (look it up) , attend the event on Saturday, then drive south to see my folks and spend a few days there. Who’s up for an “unofficial” CTRI meeting at the Dayton HamVention on Saturday, at let’s say 1200 noon in the food court? A walk around the flea market, en mass, would possibly follow the meeting. Any takers? 73 de KB1LN Bob
